Meet Anil

My story began in a modest one-room home. I’ve fought for every step every day, and I bring that same grit and compassion to public service because Every Voice Matters. I bring my lived experiences to this work by showing up with compassion, listening first, and leading with empathy, so the real struggles and hopes of HD19 become practical, people-first solutions at the Capitol.

From India to the Ballot in Colorado

— A story of sacrifice, struggle, and second chances

I was born in Andhra Pradesh, India, where my family didn’t have much, but gave everything. My earliest memories aren’t of toys or trips, but of watching my parents choose between their own meals and the cost of school books for me and my brother.

My parents were never given the opportunities that they gave us. They faced caste discrimination and economic limits that would’ve shut most doors forever. But they held on to one belief with everything they had: education could change everything. And they made sacrifices—quietly, daily, and without complaint—so we could step into rooms they never entered.

My brother and I became the first in our family to go to college. But I wasn’t finished. With just a few belongings and a head full of hope, I flew over 9,000 miles to America. I earned my master’s in chemical engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Twenty years later, I went back to school and earned my MBA.

We never called it “resilience” growing up. It was just what we did.

In 2023, I ran for the Boulder Valley School District board. I didn’t win—but 9,000 families placed their trust in me to speak for their children’s future. That vote reminded me why I started—and who I carry with me every time I show up.

Why I’m Running

From Listening to Leading

The thing that I have learned is quite simple: leadership does not concern a title or a speech; it is about doing the work, being there, and winning the trust that lasts long. It is what leads to my running, to turn all of my years of listening into action and to give every family in House District 19 a future that is both fair and full of opportunities.
A Lifetime of Listening, A Future of Doing

My Vision for District 19

Stability. Dignity. Opportunity.

A community built on fairness, opportunity, and inclusion—where housing is attainable, healthcare is a right, equitable public education is strong, reproductive freedom is protected, workers and unions are valued, small businesses thrive, public safety and community wellbeing come first, and quality of life is protected for every community in HD19.
Stability. Dignity. Opportunity.

My Story (Early Life, Values, Experience)

From Andhra Pradesh to Erie: The Story That Built Me

Engineer with a Civic Heart

Studied engineering, worked in tech, and learned how systems shape outcomes. But policy shapes people. That’s where I chose to make my real impact.

Healthcare Worker on the Frontlines

During the hardest moments of the pandemic, I was on the front line. I saw resilience, inequity—and the urgent need for leadership grounded in empathy.

Small Business Owner & Advocate

I’ve run a small business, managed payroll, and signed leases. I know firsthand what it takes to build stability—and why policy must protect that effort.

Longtime Resident, Parent, Neighbor

I’ve raised a family in District 19. Volunteered in our schools. Fought for safe streets. I’m not campaigning for power—I’m committed to people.

“I’ve walked your neighborhoods, stood at your doorsteps, and heard your hopes. This campaign is not for the spotlight—it’s for the sidewalk.”

Serving with Action – Not Ambition

Listen. Build. Deliver.

That’s how I’ve spent 25+ years solving problems as an engineer—no shortcuts, no band-aids, no blame, just results. That’s how I’ll serve HD19: show up, listen, build real solutions, and deliver for working families.
